Student Welfare

Our College encourages and rewards positive behaviour from students. Our aim is to prevent negative behaviour through acknowledging positive behaviour and making role models of students that demonstrate positive behaviour.

The following order of discipline is used when negative behaviour is displayed. Steps should not be missed, as each student should be treated equally although students may enter the steps at a different level if their behaviour is considered medium or major.

The steps for discipline are:

  1. Positive reinforcement
  2. Warning
  3. Isolated from class but still completing work/activity
  4. Miss out on some privileges e.g. playtime
  5. Time out in own classroom
  6. Review negative behaviour
  7. Impressing positive behaviour
  8. Counseling
  9. Detention / discussion of behaviour concerns with an Executive.
  10. Sent to an Executive member of staff
  11. Conduct monitoring card.
  12. Interview with parents
  13. In school suspension
  14. At home suspension
  15. Counseling again before student is re-admitted to class
  16. Cancellation of enrolment
